ENDORSEMENTS FOR ROTARY DISTRICT 7710 GLOBAL RUN 4 WATER
We are so pleased to have the following endorsements from Rotary Leaders:
PDG 1999-2000 Bill Lefes

To All Rotarians,
Given the importance of potable water in the developing world to maintain good health, water and sanitation is one of the six initiatives that the Rotary Foundation considers vital to the health of people in the developing world. The District has financed a number of water projects in the past. It plans to continue to finance water projects as we move ahead. This is a fund raiser for Matching Grants Water Projects by any of the clubs in the District.
In an effort to raise the importance of potable water in the developing countries to Rotarians and others in our community, the Rotary Clubs of District 7710 are organizing a "Global Run 4 Water" activity at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary on Sunday September 30, 2012 at 4:00 PM. In addition to those who are running there will be a opportunity for persons who prefer walking to walk the one mile course. Children as well as adults are invited to take part in this humanitarian event.

Far too many die or are debilitated by unclean drinking water. If we can change just one life through our efforts at providing clean water, that will be our reward. I encourage you to support this effort through your presence as well as your presents!

Past District Govenor 2005-2006
PDG 2007-2008 Barry Phillips

It is my belief that potable water (or the lack of it) is fundamental to civilized life and that in addressing this crucial need, Rotary is establishing a core element to the resolution of conflict in our world. Through past, existing, and planned interactions with Rotarians in other parts of the world, District 7710's Rotarians and Clubs continue to make a difference and as we move into adoption of the Future Vision, I hope that District 7710 will continue its commitment to these worthy projects.

"Clean drinking water is basic to human life; without it mankind will perish. The Global Run 4 Water Project is a meaningful way for our District 7710 Rotarians to support water projects around the world. On September 30 we can run or we can walk, and today we can write (a check) to assure the success of this beneficial lifesaving project."
